That this House welcomes the announcement by President Morales that the Bolivian State will take over all gas deposits and control of the gas industry in Bolivia; recognises that this is a fulfilment of an election pledge and that the people of Bolivia who are amongst the poorest in Latin America deserve to benefit from its natural resources; and calls on all other countries to respect their decision and support Bolivia's aim of the elimination of poverty.
