A major trade union initiative Off in solidarity with Venezuela has been launched by the Hands Off Venezuela campaign. Coinciding with the celebration of International Workers' day, HandsVenezuela is promoting an "Open letter to US trade unionists" (see in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Greek and Swedish). The appeal comes after the recent belligerent statements and attacks on President Chavez on the part of the representatives of the Bush Administration, which, according to Jorge Martin, HOV international secretary, "pose a direct threat to the working people of Venezuela". If you are a trade unionist, please sign the open letter! Click here to see the signatures and download the PDF file to collect new signatures. |

On the eve of Condoleeza Rice's tour of Latin America, an extremely provocative article appeared yesterday in The New York Times. It is clear that Washington's campaign of lies and slanders is preparing the terrain for more direct action against the Venezuelan Revolution. Now is the time to stop them! Read the article and download it as a PDF file. |

This is the latest leaflet from the Hands Off Venezuela campaign
in Britain. 10,000 copies were printed with the support of a number of
national unions so that they can be distributed at the forthcoming
trade union conference season. The leaflet outlines the main points
about the Bolivarian revolution and asks for people and organisations
to affiliate to the Hands Off Venezuela campaign. You can download it
as a PDF file, print it and
distribute it in your local trade union branch, college, school or
university. |

It is vital that we counteract the lies and distortions of the corporate media. They are not interested in the truth about Venezuela - they will stop at nothing to demonize the struggle of the Venezuelan people in order to justify the crushing of the revolutionary process. The heroic efforts of millions of Venezuelan men and women to improve their lives proves in practice that it is possible to build a better world. Available as a single-sided leaflet or a double-sided leaflet. |
