Kathe Reichel was a student of Bertolt Brecht, and a Marxist. She is now 80 years of age and travelled to Venezuela in March "to make sure I die with some hope". Here is an audio recording of a speech/prose in German that she read out to a standing ovation at a recent meeting of "Artists for the Latin American Process" in Berlin. There is also a video available.
