Dear all,
As many of you already know, we are having our first
Bolivia Solidarity Campaign national conference on March 31st at
Covent Garden, Dragon Hall Trust (17 Stukeley Street, London WC2B 5LT,
nearest tube: Holborn) from 10am to 6.30pm.
We hope that many of
you will be able to make it to the conference to plan for the year
ahead. A major topic of discussion will be:
- Bolivian Workers at home and abroad building solidarity links in the UK.
- Nationalization of natural resources Vs Multinationals
We
also have several excellent speakers lined up, including Pedro Montes,
Executive Secretary of the COB (Central Obrera Boliviana) and Sergio
Caceres, editor of "El Juguete Rabioso".
Top of the agenda will
be electing a new national steering committee. We are very keen to
widen this body, especially to include more members from outside of
London, so please let us know if you would like to nominate yourself or
someone else. The deadline for this is 5pm on Wed March 28th, which is
also the deadline for conference motions, so please send them as soon

After
the conference, we will be having a party with traditional food,
Bolivian music "Expresion Bolivia" and "Tradicion Andina".

The
whole day's events cost £5.00 for BSC members, or £15.00 to join BSC
and Conference day. If you only want to attend conference it is £10.00.
All tickets include the Bolivian Fiesta which starts at 7.00pm. Space
