Social movements in Colombia have
carried out a three-year programme of investigation into multinational
corporations and human rights. They looked at the food, mining, oil and public
utilities sectors, as well as the impact on indigenous
peoples.
This summer our delegates attended
the Peoples' Permanent Tribunal session on indigenous genocide and the final
hearing. The Tribunal found that 43 multinational corporations have benefited
from human rights abuses in Colombia.
Translation into
Spanish will be available in the meeting.
Traducción de la reunión a español
será disponible.
