Cultura Londres showcase their unique sound of hip hop crossed with
rock & more tradtional Latin influences with a stripped down
DJ-assisted live PA from MC Tiago
Living Dreamy
VJ
specialist Living Dreamy, whose CV includes warm up for Hexstatic and
gigs at Cargo and the Big Chill House turns his hand to Latin American
visuals. Tonight's debut at Movimientos will incorporate elements of the photography showcased upstairs & interactive visuals
& special guest live musicians & percussion for a descarga jam!!!
UPSTAIRS
(From 7pm): This month films focusing on Venezuela including by popular
demand "The Revolution Will Not be Televised" amongst others presented
by Hands Off Venezuela
(Films in Spanish with English subtitles)
Also launching new photography project "Toys" from celebrated Latin American photographer Julio Etchart
with a short talk and exhibition (with projections of his work downstairs)
Followed by Latin Acoustic Lounge with special guest singer songwriter Silvia Balducci
who plays music from Chile, Cuba and Venezuela. Her CD on Chilean
artist Victor Jara titled "Homenaje a una sonrisa" is regarded as one
of the finest tributes and most original work. She performed for
President Chavez during his UK visit in May 2006. A talented and
committed artist worth catching
